Socco Plastic Coating Company

Rubber Lining

Socco's rubber linings are extremely resilient and are vulcanized to metal with internal adhesion. They can be applied to literally any metal - steel, aluminum, cast iron, etc. When vulcanized, rubber linings will resist cracking or buckling under temperature changes or alternating wetting and drying. They will not oxidize, slough off, discolor, or chemically change the liquid carried.

Our rubber linings have been used as a sanitary lining for chemical processing and storage tanks, railroad tank cards, truck tanks, sewage disposal equipment, flaned pipes and fittings, plating equipment, separators, fan housings and wheels, fume ducts, and other various items that require ultimate protection.

We routinely use high quality sheet rubber products that are supplied by the major brand name manufacturers, such as Goodyear, Polymerics, and Blair. However, we also offer our own, less expensive specified rubber products that are manufactured from both natural and synthetic compounds.

Socco's Rubber

Our natural, chlorobutyl, and neoprene rubber linings are formulated from the finest natural and synthetic elastomers. We manufacture soft, semi-hard, and hard rubber products that provide general purpose chemical resistance and sliding abrasion, lining repair, hydrochloric acid service, food grade service, oxidizing and plating solutions, and maximum resistance to wet chlorine. They are also flexible in the vulcanized state, thus having very few limitations regarding the size and shape of the equipment.

Our rubbers are SC-20, SC-25, SC-38, SC-40, SC-47, SC-55, SC-65, and SC-80. For more details about our rubber products, read our rubber product specifications.
