Socco Plastic Coating Company

Keysite

Keysite is Socco's own brand of coating used for deterring corrosion in steel vessels, pipes, pumps, valves, blowers, and structural weldments that are located in many water, chemical, petroleum, and marine environments.

Keysite has excellent abrasion resistance, high impact strength, superior salt water resistance, durable finish, and outstanding bond strength. Keysite is California VOC compliant.

Keysite 500

Keysite 500 Pooline is a rigidly controlled formulation of vinyl chloride co-polymers, containing only the finest resins, pigments, and solvents. No commercial plasticizers are used in compounding this odorless, tasteless, nontoxic, air drying material. Keysite 500 serves a large variety of industrial applications that demand a permanently thermoplastic, corrosion-resistant coating.

Keysite 500 Pooline is used to coat metal, concrete, and wood that is subject to attack by corrosive liquids, splash, and fumes. For added resistance to severe abrasion, glass cloth can be economically incorporated in the film. Because no heat curing is necessary, Keysite 500 is the ideal coating material for in-plant maintenance and is available in a limited range of colors.

Keysite 740 & Keysite 780

Keysite 740 (High Solids Epoxy) and Keysite 780 (Coal Tar Epoxy) are certified to meet NSF 61 and are a formulation of the very finest epoxy resins, modified to make a tough, flexible, resistant coating requiring no heat curing. Keysites 740 and 780 have a two part catalyst cure system that contains no solvents and can be applied where other epoxies might create a fire hazard. Outstanding adhesion and superior prevention of corrosion, contamination, and abrasion account for the extensive industrial use of Keysites 740 and 780 for tanks, pipes, pumps, blowers, structural steel, and concrete.

Keysite 740 and Keysite 780 have excellent resistance to water (tap, fresh, salt, brackish, distilled, deionized, boiler feed to 180 degrees), alcohol, alkalis, gasoline, diesel fuel, sour crude, mineral solvents, toluene, xylene, kerosene, and non edible vegetable oils. They are satisfactory for use over old paint or coatings, and on steel, wood, and cement. If Keysites 740 and 780 are reinforced with special fabric, they can also be used to economically repair damaged or corroded areas in tanks, floors, etc.
